Our last full day in San Francisco was filled with more city touring. We drove to the south end of the Golden Gate Bridge and ended up parking at Battery Marcus Miller. It was a bit further than the Welcome Center but saved us a lot of headache trying to find parking in that busy area.
We all went to the Computer History Museum. I found the displays of computers from the 1980s onwards to be more recognizable to computers we have today, so it was more interesting for me to read those information boards.
From Pier 33, it was only a 6 minute walk to Pier 39 next to where the famous seals and sunbathing. There were a lot more people than I imagined just standing and watching the seals for extended periods. The bystanders would make up commentary between the seals based on their action, which was pretty funny.
Travelling west across the San Francsico Bay, we wanted to head to Battery Spencer. It is on the north side of the Golden Gate Bridge but there was no parking, so we kept driving along Conzelman Road until we found parking by the side of the mountain. It was a great view from above looking down on the entire bridge.
